This free version of Socusoft’s Photo to Video Converter is a gift for those users who have always wished to have a simple and nice-looking tool to create slideshows out of their photo collection that does the job without asking too many questions. With this Socusoft tool you are just required to add the photos, select some background music and a nice transition effect (or simply use the defaulted ones), and enjoy the results. Simply put - it could not be simpler.
However, for the adventurous type, the program certainly has many other things to offer. In the “Transition & Music” tab, you can select and apply as many music files (or fragments of them) as you wish. You can also change the defaulted transitions and pick up any of the 250+ available! You can set up the time devoted to each transition, the whole duration of the slideshow, the duration of the background audio, etc. As for the audio tracks, these can be loaded from existing files or recorded live for each specific project, which may come in handy when you want to add your own comments to your slideshows.
Before telling the program to create your movie you can preview it as many times, as you wish, and perform all the changes needed to make it look perfect. The output is limited to MPEG, and only the video bit rate and the audio sample rate are selectable, but those who want to keep it simple will be thankful for this. The results are amazing, if we take into account how very little input the program requires from us. For those who find this tool just too easy and too inexpensive, we recommend them to upgrade to Socusoft’s professional version.
